I am all about seeing the good in a situation, but I also know when it is good to point out the areas where improvement can be made. One of my relatives and I wanted to try a Chinese restaurant, and she remembered this place as being pretty good years ago. I had never been, and am always willing to try new places. When I first walked in, it was not what I was hoping-the traditional fish in tanks, which resembled what I would see as the equivalent of a dog living in a box- and the ability to buy vitamins and nail polish at the counter? I was laughing inside at what this eating experience was going to turn into. As we walked to be seated there was a dance floor, with karaoke set up, and a computer in the corner that looked like it was being used prior to us arriving, (this computer I'll return to later).Well, when it comes to the food, I immediately went on Yelp and started reading reviews, and I will say this. The food didn't smell amazing, nor did it smell particularly bad, though it was IMMENSELY salty. We had sesame beef, and moo-shoo vegetables. Both had an incredible amount of salt and little spice. I was not impresses by the flavor and am currently not feeling the best. You must know, I do have a good stomach so when I mention I'm not feeling well-it is mainly the phlegmy throat, headache, and turning stomach.Other elements to take note of is the dirty silverware, dirty glasses, and overall aunt Josephine's dirty house. I felt like I was in someones living space who wasn't expecting me and didn't have time to prepare. There were things sitting around, and boxes here and there. At the end of our meal one of the people that was in the kitchen the entire time came out, and in their defense the people working there are all very kind-but he went directly to the corner where the computer was (yep back to the computer), and started playing World of Warcraft. Oh yeah, that's right-I said it, he made the food then went and started to play WOW on his break. I just about died...of laughter that is.To make this long story longer, my tip is-if you want to try it give it a go, but be warned you might need some good stomach reliever or tea afterwards, and the prices are MUCH higher than the quality. Oh and maybe, feed the fish I think they need it.

Absolutely terrible food. Sweet and sour chicken was charcoal when opened at home. Fried rice had terrible odor of smoke. There is a reason no one was there.

Ming's have Karaoke now and the drinks are really affordable....I enjoyed eating the Chinese food and listening to the music in between songs. The Dj plays all the hits. I would definitely recommend this Bar to hangout....

This is the only bar in Vancouver that's open 365 days a year, and you can imagine the kind of folks that end up here on thanksgiving or christmas! This place is kind of an institution in Vancouver. It has a reputation for a strong pour, and a drunk clientele.A couple of quarks worth checking out; the face print on the glass entrance from where a women who was wearing a ton of make up face planted into it (she was ok according the the lore) and the cat that hangs around and goes in and out of the front of the bar. That's right, it's a Chinese restaurant that has a cat for a mascot. Who would have thought.

So, we go into this place having a craving for Chinese food. It was still open, unsavory characters were hanging out in the lounge area while young children rode their bicycles in the restaurant area and chased each other. After standing at the counter for a couple minutes reading the menu we were approached by an older Asian woman. I asked her if they were still serving, and she asked if it was take out. I told her yes, and she said ok in a way that made it obvious she didn't want us to be there. I wanted bbq pork, sweet and sour chicken, and chow mein. They had 5 combo meal options ranging in price from three options to five. None of the options had sweet and sour chicken and chow mein together. No sweat, at the bottom of the menu it said you could add on items for 1 dollar. Sweet and sour chicken, and chow mein were options. So, I ask if on combo AI would be allowed to add the chicken, and substitute the fried shrimp for chow mein. She said No substitutes. OK, can I add on the ...? More ?
